I have a Motioncore free member account. Can you help me with my Control Panel?
Sure. If you are already have a member account, you can access the searchable Help Section for your Dashboard here.
Your Domain
Can I have a personal domain name/web address?
Yes, ofcourse. All of our sites come with a personal domain name that you get to choose, like yourname.com or yourstudioname.com
What can I choose as my domain name?
Pretty much whatever you'd like to register, as long as its not already owned by someone else. Tell us what you want and we'll get it for you, no muss, no fuss. You could have xyzcompany.org or super-duper-store.com. But you can't have motioncore.com because we already own it. Sorry.
You can easily search to see what domain names are available and register it yourself if you like. You can choose a .com, .org, .net, .biz, .info or .us ending for your domain. If you want your site to be at a domain with a different ending, that's no problem -- but you'll need to buy the domain yourself.
If you have a special request, such as having two domain names point to the same website, please email us at support@motioncore.com and we'll help you work it out.
What if I already own a domain name?
No problem. We can help you set your domain name to go to your new Motioncore website. We'll send you an email with the easy steps you'll need to take to get things going. It can be up to 2 to 5 business days before an existing domain name will to point to your new site -- though it usually takes only a few hours.
Please note that if you choose to sign up for Motioncore with an existing domain, that the domain does not transfer to us. It will remain your property and your responsibility. Be sure not to cancel your domain or let it expire, as you will be responsible for maintaining/renewing the registiration for your domain. This will be the same simple process you used before your Motioncore site, so no worries!
If you buy my domain for me, do I get to keep it if I leave Motioncore?
For sure. It's not our style to do something like keep your domain from you or charge you a boot-load for it. Just let us know you want to keep it and we would transfer the domain to you in a simple, no-hassle, cost-free process.
Email
All of our paid plans come with an email address like whatyoulike@yourdomain.com, which you can access online from any computer.
What if I already have an email address associated with the domain I own?
No problem. Be sure to request that same email address up with us when you sign up, as a mailbox, not a forward. Just be sure to get all of your important emails and contact information from your old email host before you switch over to us.
How do I find/get into my Motioncore webmail?
If you own an Motioncore site, your webmail is located at your profile pages
To check your webmail, sign in to your account and go to the mail section. Your email address is your Motioncore email address, and your password is the same one that you use to log into your Motioncore Control Panel (unless you may have changed it!).
Can I check my email through Thunderbird, Mac Mail etc --- or with my iPhone/wireless device?
You bet, get all the details from our help section.
I signed up for a free member account. How come I never got an email from you?
Please be sure that you entered your email address correctly. Next, check the junk/SPAM folder in your email, it might be there.
If so, you should add us to your email whitelist to make sure our emails get through.
If you still can't find an email from us with your free member account information, add support@motioncore.com to your contacts/whitelist, and then send an email (including your phone number) to support@motioncore.com.
Do I have to give you any billing information before I can start my free trial?
It is not necessary. We only ask for your payment information after you've decided to have a website. The free member account is just that, it is free.
How do I access my free member account?
Login. It is that simple. Check the welcome email that we sent you, it has all the information on how to access your free member account website. This includes your username, password and the URL of your My Dashboard.
If you have lost or deleted your welcome email, just click on lost password link to have your information sent to you again.
I need more time to play with my free member account. Can I have an extension?
If you say "pretty please with cherry on the top."
The truth is it never expires, it is yours to keep forever.
My free trial expired a long time ago. Can I sign up for a site now, or have some more time on the trial?
Your account never expires. We've saved all your info. Email us at support@motioncore.com and we'll help you out.
I love my free member account, but it has expired. How do I pay for a full website?
Your free member profile account never expires. We preserve all of the work you've put into your free member profile and have you set up before you know it! If you can't remember the name of your member account or have any other questions, email us at support@motioncore.com.
I know I'll love Motioncore. I don't need a free member account, can I get a paid website now?
Just sign up for a free member account anyway, and extend your community within Motioncore. You can then follow the payment instructions in your welcome email right away.
What happens to the work on my free member account when I activate my Motioncore site?
Everything that you added to your free member account website will stay at motioncore, exactly as is. Your free member account is seperate from your website pages, which is set up as community or an organization.
GENERAL
Do I have to make the website myself, or know any code or "hard stuff"?
Nope, that's exactly the point of getting your website from motioncore. We've already designed a bunch of nifty sites for you to choose from, which you can customize to your taste in minutes. Just sign up, easily plug-in your info & your content, and your personal and company site is done!
How long will it take to get my trial site going?
When you sign up for a free member account, your website goes up as soon as you activate it. You can't pick a style for your free member account. However, if you host with us you may have one of our designs for your site and start adding content using the My Dashboard. Your website will be finished on a blink. If you want to make your own custom theme, you may choose vanilla theme and load your customized css.
When you decide to have your Motioncore hosted site, all of the content from your free site organization, community site will transfer quickly to your new domain name.
My trial is awesome. How long will it take to get my site going once I activate/pay for it?
We manually review all sites, so activation can take up to 24-48 hours. Once you activate/pay for your site, your activation request is personally reviewed, to ensure that everything is in order so that its smooth sailing for you. Please be sure to allow enough time for this process if your site has a deadline.
How do I get my content onto my website?
Your Motioncore website comes with a behind-the-scenes My Dashboard that allows you to easily add images and content to your pages.
The process is much like uploading a photo to flickr or adding an attachment to an email. Your image library resizes the image for the web and even creates thumbnails automatically.
What designs can I choose from?
Motioncore offers lots of different designs with different looks for different people. You can choose from hundreds of basic designs and then choose your own colors, fonts, background etc. There are practically infinite combinations!
The design of your Motioncore website is called a 'theme'. You can easily change your site's theme at any time from your Control Panel, and like any other updates you make to your site, this is *always* free. The best way to see what themes we offer, is to try them out on your own site after you've signed up for a free trial.

What can I put on my website?
Well, there are many ways to post content, text, images, gallery, video, polls, chat, blog, forum, wikis and many more applications are added for you to use everyday. You can also add details about each page, your personal's statement and links to other websites. Plus, people who go to your website can view your contact information, leave you a message, download your resume/CV in PDF format and read your news/events page. You can also link out to other sites you may have, like your blog or your gallery's site. The "My Dashboard" section lets you add or remove things with ease. Put as much or as little on your Motioncore website as you like!
Do you offer any video or sound features?
Yes. You will be able to add both video and sound pieces to your website.
Does Motioncore give me a way to see how many people visit my site?
Oh yes, definitely. We know it's so much fun to see who has been looking at your website! You will be able to check not only how many people have visited your site, but also where they are from, and how they found your site using our Analytics, which we've integrated into your site for super simple set-up.
Will people be able to contact me through my website?
Yes. You'll can put your contact information on your page for your website where you can list any information that you'd like, from email addresses to fax numbers :-). On that page, you can also create a form where guests visiting your page can leave a you message, and leave their own contact info with their note, which you can see in your "My Dashboard" section. This is a great way to get feedback from folks who visit your site, as visitors seem to find it less 'intimidating' than email. And we all love more feedback!
Should I recommend Motioncore to my friends?
Of course! If you recommend Motioncore to anyone who signs up for at least 3 months, we'll give you a free month on us! Make sure to tell your buddy to type you in as their referral. We have some customers who have never had to pay for their site again, just by talking us up!
Do you offer any protection against people downloading my work?
We offer the ability to watermark your images, as well as give you the option to display your images where it prevents right-click downloading.
Do you put ads on my website?
No, we don't. If you would like to display and show ads on your site, please let us know. We can include you in our network where you can maximize your site's revenue potential with contextually targeted ads. You can even customize ads to complement the look and feel of your site. Furthermore, you will get to track the success of different formats and locations with online reports. It is the best way to display targetted Motioncore ads on your website's content pages and earn from valid clicks, or impressions.
Motioncore gives you access to our vast network of advertisers, so you can show ads that are suited to your audience's interests.
Will you keep my information private?
Yes, absolutely. We will never sell or share your information with anyone at anytime. Please see our privacy policy for all the details.
PRICES AND PLANS
What types of Plans do you offer?
We have a Standard Plan, which is great for most people, and a Premium Plan, for you who wants real value and all the bells and whistles. You can see all of the features that come with each plan here.
How much do your sites cost?
Our Standard Plan is $6.95 per month, or $250.20 for three years, and our Premium Plan is invitation only. You may request an invitation here for the Premium Plan. You can learn all about them on our pricing page. They're all cheaper than missing an opportunity because you don't have a website. Hint, hint.
What are my payment options?
We offer monthly or yearly subscriptions.
If you would like to pay monthly, our Standar Plan goes up on cost to $9.95.
If you pay yearly, we accept credit cards, PayPal, personal checks and money orders, as well as Spanish lattes.
All transactions are processed in U.S. Dollars. As currency equivalents may fluctuate, so may your final charges.
If I choose a monthly plan, do I need to remember to pay every month?
When you sign up to pay monthly, you are signing up for a subscription. We will automatically bill you each month, so you don't have to worry of losing your account. If you use PayPal, it will automatically bill your account each month, so no worrying about having your site turned off, or bothering with the hassle of filling out forms each month. You can, of course, still cancel your subscription any time you'd like --- though that might make us sad.
SELLING MY SERVICES, AND PRODUCTS
Can I sell my products, or services though my Motioncore site?
Yes. Your Motioncore website gives you the option to sell your products and services online. You will be able to enter a price and then choose whether or not to make the product available to buy through PayPal, or your mechant account.
When a visitor pays for one of your pieces you will be notified by your site that there is a transaction, and you'll then be responsible for shipping the item, or completing the service to complete the transaction. Cha-ching!
Do you take fees or commissions on my sales?
No, absolutely not. You keep 100% of the proceeds, minus any processing fees from your merchant account, and PayPal, if you choose to use their services while selling your products and services.
What is Motioncore?
It is a platform that helps you communicate, collaborate, and innovate. You can communicate on multiple levels. You can have a profile and communicate with family and friends through Motioncore for free all around the globe. You can add shortcuts and cut down on your surfing time a few hours. You can access your profile at anytime, anywhere, any computer. You will get updates on everyone that you genuinely care. Furthermore, you will get to communicate with things that you value. You will also get to broadcast to the other sites all from your site. It is a true communication platform.
You can use our applications, and platform for your personal use, education, or your organization. We have hosting services that host a standard site with a basic shopping cart. You can grow your site and it is capabilities by just clicking and dragging without touching one single code. At any time you can take your standard site that comes with a shopping cart and extend it further. You can build vertical system shopping carts, portals like yahoo, communities like aol, and social networking sites that you love all from your account with your own domain name.
Who are you guys?
Motioncore - I love you. I don't think we've been properly introduced. We are developers, designers, and all around lovers of gadgets. Our team consists of very diverse backgrounds around the world. We belive that adds an extra flavor and zest to what we do.
Why did you start Motioncore?
Motioncore was launched as a side project in February of 2006 on Baris Tansel's birthday. It has grown into a communication platform service that works in real-time over multiple networks and devices.
In February 2006, while on a tight deadline, Baris Tansel who is a designer and lover of technology realized that one of his vendor's media files was missing and he had a hard time tracking down the vendor in time to explain the situation and get the file resent. Even today with the majority of transactions occurring online, accepting files via email or ftp can still be a source of confusion.
Even when you successfully receive files, to then sort through them and select or compile the ones you need can be a tedious task and turn into an overly complex experience. His team members were frequently disjointed from a project due largely because of time or geographic distance. And in instances where someone was brought into a project at the last minute, that person would require a lot of briefings just to "catch-up" on the project and be on the same page as everyone else. It was often very chaotic. Everyone pointed fingers and a kind of "he said, she said" turf war would ensue. To bring a solution to this problem, once and for all, Motioncore was born a few days later, right on the balcony of his apartment --coincidentally a mere block from AOL, and MySpace headquarters.
He realized that this a major problem that needed to be solved. Thats how Motioncore was born.
